We promote open access to publications and research data through a shared position between the different universities. The Interuniversity Council of Catalonia(CIC) agreed in 2010 a framework document that provided guidelines to facilitate Catalan universities to approve their institutional open access policies. A “Proposal to establish an open access policy to research data at Catalan universities” and the “Data management policy model for a university” were also drawn up to facilitate its application at institutional level.
